Random things...

I hate doctor offices! Today, Lucy had ANOTHER GI dr. appt. at Cardinal Glennon. Her appt was at 2:30. Got there early--had to drive around the parking lot for more than 15 minutes to find a parking spot. Finally park and get inside. Go to the gift shop for a soda. Head over to the actual office. Sign in. Wait...wait...wait some more. Then, wait again! FINALLY get called back. They weigh her, measure her height...then realize they don't have a room open. We get sent back out to the waiting room again. About 15 minutes later, they call us back to a room. We sit there and wait! The nurse comes in.... "The doctor has been called out to an emergency surgery and it will be about 45 minutes...please listen for your name on the intercom and come back when you hear it. Here is a free gift voucher ($5.00) for the gift shop or the cafeteria." We head over and found Lucy a stuffed dog...and she falls in love with it...carries it around... Our name is called and we head back over...we go right into a room where the doctor is waiting on us! He basically tells us that we need to wait out this stupid constipation issue for another 6 months...we will check back in with him in 2 months... It's a waiting game. A stupid waiting game!

Get home from St. Louis, just in time for me to head to a CWF meeting at church (Christian Women's Fellowship)...where it is election night. I am now the president of the CWF at our church! Was not expecting that! LOL I have no idea what it entails...but will figure it out as I go along I guess! LOL

Really tired today...maybe I will head to bed early...most likely I won't...LOL Tomorrow I have a dr. appt. Perhaps mine will be better than today!

Oh, the ICE!

The weather here has been NASTY this week! We have had tons of ice. It was 73 here on Sunday and 36 Monday...with ice and flurries. *sigh* The ice is melting today and it sounds like the roof is going to cave in. As the ice melts, you can hear it break on the roof and slide down. If you watch, you can see a sheet of ice fall apart and hit the ground.

I took a picture of the tree to the right of our front door. Neither DH nor I know if the thing will make it. It has lost so many limbs.... I have some other pics too. I am posting some other limbs that are down and some of the backyard.

We have lost the power here many times in the last two days....about 6 hours total. My IL's are still without power and may not get it back until Friday. We may have a full house tonight if everyone comes to stay until they get their power back!
